Poem #7: I Want To Live

Okay. So, recently, I watched a movie I've always wanted to watch in my class called Dead Poets Society (1989). It's a movie about a strict, private school for boys where in English class, teachers teaches poetry to the students as if it was math. One day, a new English teacher named Mr. Keating, and he pretty much change everything

I'm not gonna explain it further, but it's definitely a 1000-out-of-10 type of movie (just be prepared for the gut-wrenching ending). It made me feel things. I think I'm kinda speechless when it comes to telling what I'm feeling about this movie. It's just that this one movie made me wrote a poem. I guess if you love this poem, you'll love the movie.

I Want To Live

I want to live.

I want to run as fast as I can from this burning house, for my soul seeks something that can't exist in the fire: freedom.

I want to live.

I want to let myself wanders around the world and feast my heart with poems from all the poets in the world.

I want to live.

I want to cry so helplessly for I know every cruelest drop of tears comes with the purest smile behind them.

And I will.

So, how was it? If you've watched the movie, feel free to share how did the movie makes you feel in the comments. So, I'll see you tomorrow with the first post of The Great Bukittinggi Adventure, about my previous trip to Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, Indonesia. See you soon, reader!

All the love, -R-

Also, the "I want to live" Lines remind me of thing song called Gehenna (the producer is wotaku, but if you're not a big fan of Vocaloid, then you can try to find the song's cover by N25
