Poem #3: If I Didn't Met You

Another writing, yay. I absolutely enjoy writing this one. Or maybe this is a poem that doesn't rhyme? To be honest, I am actually confused. Call this what you want, though.

If I Didn't Met You

Sometimes, when I was left alone with my devices, I think about what would happen if I didn't met you? What if I get accepted in Art Club instead of English Club in school? I clearly would never know how much literature could amuse me. I would never know new vocabularies and its meaning such as contrarian, antithetical, or ingénue, thanks to you. I wouldn't write poems just to see the expression on your face when you read it. Your smile, the crease by your eyes, or you clapping excessively after you finished a book, I would never know how to appreciate art if I didn't met you. I would never know there's beauty in simple things, you taught me that. I would never laugh at least twice a day and almost everyday, it's more than that. I repeat, it's all because of you. And there's other things that I could tell. You turned my pale, weak soul to a knight so brave.
But one thing for sure, if I didn't met you, there would be no me, there would only be my grave.

So, how was it? Constructive critics and advices are always welcome in the comment section. Thanks for reading, and see you later, reader.

All the love, -R-

P.S. I decided to call my "writings" poem, based on an advice from a friend of mine. This change is made on March 18th, 2023.
